Who Influenced/Inspired you to Priesthood: Fr. Diego Restrepo, in Medellin, Colombia

What would you say to a young man who thinks he may have a vocation: It is a great gift from the Lord to receive his call, it needs to be cherish and nourished by going back to the Lord in the Blesses Sacrament in humble thanksgiving.

Favorite Scripture Passage: John 21: 15-17   What makes it special is the conversation between Jesus and Peter as The Lord asks “do you love me”. Who are we that the Lord would ask this question? As humans we only challenge the question of love, when we know that we are ready to give that love back in return. And we have Jesus our Lord, not only telling us what is necessary to follow him but also letting us know that he loves usFav

Favorite Saint: St. Peter Claver -  Saint Peter Claver lived and suffered for the most abandoned people of his time. In the early 1600s, Fr. Claver saw the cruelty and the need to attend to the slaves transported from Africa. He found ways to communicate with them and attend to their wounds and hunger as soon as the ship arrived to the port of Cartagena in Colombia.  He named himself “Peter Claver slave, for the slaves."  St. Peter Claver received from God the grace to see Christ and serve him. May God grant us the courage and generous enthusiasm to serve others like he granted to St. Peter Claver.
