Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary, Overbrook
Ordination Date: 2013
Birth Date: October 4
Home Parish: Our Lady of Lourdes Parish (Raleigh, NC) High School: Archbishop Hoban High School College: The University of Akron Hobbies: I like to read mystery/spy novels, hiking and outdoor sports. Who Influenced/Inspired you to Priesthood: My parents, as well as my pastor growing up. What would you say to a young man who thinks he may have a vocation: I would encourage him to pray to our Blessed Mother and St Joseph for guidance. To seek to be open to the Lord's will and also that you can never go wrong praying before Jesus in the Eucharist. Favorite Scripture Passage: Philippians 2:3-4 (3) Do nothing out of selfishness or out of vainglory; rather, humbly regard others as more important than yourselves, (4) each looking out not for his own interests, but everyone looking out for those of others. This is my favorite passage, not only because it challenges me to look outside myself and seek ways to serve others with humility and charity as our Lord Jesus did. It is also encouraging that we are called to live our lives in a self-giving manner that will allow the Light of Christ to shine through us. Favorite Saint: Saint Joseph - Saint Joseph is a model for us all. He was hardworking peaceful man who also embodied all of the virtues. It is hard to imagine how his faith was deepened as he protected and provided for our Lord Jesus and our Blessed Mother. His humility, piety and silent trust in the Savior is an inspiration to me. St Joseph was truly a just man!! Anything else of note you would like to share with the Diocese: I am grateful for all of the prayers, encouragement and support not only from my family but from the entire diocese. Trust me when I say that your prayers are evident( especially during exams!) I am constantly aware of the Love of God the Father in giving me the grace to respond to His call to serve Him. |
