Who is your favorite saint?

St. Andrew. He was the first to be called by the Lord to follow him as an apostle. He responded generously to what was asked of him. The college seminary I attended was called "St. Andrew's Hall" and so I have a special devotion to this saint.

What was your most memorable spiritual pilgrimage?

While in the major seminar I was able to spend a quarter studying in the Holy Land. It was special because I was able to go visit the holy sites many times and not just pass through them. I was especially moved by the visit and the celebration of Mass at the site of the Lord's birth at the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem.

Who was the greatest influence on your vocation as a priest and why?

Several things: I grew up in New Jersey and I was always around priests as a kid. I spent many of my days at the parish and had some wonderful priestly examples in my life. These were the men I wanted to be like. I wanted to be who they were and do what they did. My mother also had a great amount of influence on me. Her devotion to the faith and her faithfulness in passing on the faith to me was inspiring. My Catholic education also played a major influence on my decision to respond to the Lord's invitation to follow him as a priest.

Do you have a hobby or hobbies or leisure activity?

I like to travel, play cards and go bowling.

What is your favorite food? Do you cook it yourself?

I like a good steak and a good Italian Meal. I like to cook for others but not so much for myself. It is only fun if I am cooking for other people.

Favorite sport? Favorite team – College and/or Professional?

I am a huge fan of the 26 time World Series Champion New York Yankees. I usually do not miss a game. I am either watching it on TV, listening to it on XM Radio or following it on my computer or Blackberry.

Favorite author and/or book?

I love anything written by Fr. Henri Nouwen. He had a simple yet profound way of speaking of God.

Favorite movie?

Crimson Tide.

Music you enjoy/artist?

Pop culture music.

Any interesting fact that your students or parishioners would be interested in knowing?

After college the diocese asked me to study Spanish for 14 weeks in Mexico, which proved to be beneficial. Today I speak Spanish fairly well. In my role at Gibbons I serve as the Asst. Principal for Spiritual Life, overseeing the various aspects of our spiritual life as a school. I teach Freshman Theology and serve as moderator for the Freshman Class. I also work with the Admissions and Development offices.
